      Dear Experts,

      Recently i came across one term JACKETED BOOT for acidic water collection service & is provided at bottom.Since this term is totally new to me.Can any body please tell me what it is?

        Where did you come across this term? I have only seen jacketed boots on pressure vessels. Maybe it is some sort of specialized sump on an elvated tank with an exposed bottom. New one on me.

        as you told there is boot for some pressure vessels and drums which are working in two phases ,for example for some drums which are liquid and gas in that the manufacturer consider boot .liquid will be drift in boot and will be vacated form a nozzle which is installed on boot.
