Dear Experts,

Presently we are working on a project having water storage tank 30.0m diameter . The roof is internal rafter supported type and the tank is internally painted thus the roof plates are seal welded to roof structure from inside.

To reduce the site work activities we are proposing to fabricate in shop roof frame assembly petal type to a maximum extent but it involves splitting the roof plate at rafter top in some cases.

Please refer attached sketch for more clarity and advise if the roof plates can be splitted on top of rafters but however it is welded to the support structure.

Thanks

Warm Regards,
