I have specified and designed several tanks before, but this is my first methanol tanks. I am constrained by process and real estate to a vertical 650 tank, but agree horizontal UL142 tanks would work very well. Tank spacing meets the local fire codes and NFPA 30. There will be no vapor recovery, however the tanks will be N2 blanketed. The tanks that I am specifying and designing will be 750 barrels each. If I can't find a suitable tank internal coating I was planning on using 316 L SS. Unless 304 L would be more appropriate? The DMT is -50 degree F.

I am very grateful for your time and responses.

Thanks
